If it is Tuesday, it must be time to be pissed off at Target

I'm on the phone, Donning the Mantle.  My once (and future?) beloved Target has totally pissed me off.  On the plus side - while trying to return an Nano and spend YET MORE MONEY at Target by adding a Classic to my happy Apple family (thanks, Mom!), I got to spend time in the exciting Lock-Up area, watching as the Target security team booked a shoplifter, so there is that.  The unfortunate shoplifter, recently arrived on these shores from Madagascar, unwisely chose to try sneak various electronic items out of the store shoved down his pants.  He was nabbed by an under-cover operative, and sat in the back room (where I stood around while a phone call was being made to the Washington state Target) and repeating "I'm sorry.  I'm stupid.  I don't need trouble."

Jason has kicked me upstairs to Jill in my Mantled quest for justice.

To be continued in the next edition....

Monday, Monday

Here is what I ate today which was not on the plan:(First day back in the office)
(Evening organization meeting - I mean...)

So next time you are at Starbucks, casting about for an interesting drink to try, keep in mind the order of the woman in front of me this morning - ready?  In a Venti cup:  5 shots of espresso, 1 pump of chocolate syrup, about 2 tablespoons of milk, and the rest foam.  I immediately thought of the 'Starbucks as way to make 5 decisive choices' scene from You've Got Mail.

Tomorrow's meals?  Same as today, so no new aspirational photo.

Random DC stuff

Here are some photos from around and about:

Faith

Now that I am on an academic calendar, I consider that my new year starts tomorrow.  My word of the year (M-Bee's wise notion) is faith - as in leap of, but also as in faith that little changes, done consistently, can have big changes.  So here is my first little change - I'm writing a little bit here, even if it is dull and less than perfect.

And here is my second little change - which hopefully makes this post less dull (my theory is that photos are per se interesting) - here is my meal plan for tomorrow (sans the milk for the cereal, which I forgot):

Planned meals - odd concept.  I'm now off to plan my outfit.  Curiouser and curiouser.
